It wasnt that. Things got worse in the timeline she was in so she sacrificed her own happiness to make things right. Its what her mother would have wanted and basically what her mother told her to do

Guess you didn't understand the plot theory. You might have to watch the mom daughter scene again. 🤷🏽‍♂️

Well... You heard it straight from Jeremy.
If you're a sick son of a bitch, Happy Death Day is the movie for you :D
And well... If you didn't cry during that scene Jeremy mentioned, then you're a asshole or a dickhead.

Oh i'm getting this fucker for home release!
And I probably won't cry since i'm emotionally disabled...

I dunno if I just have a bias and love for time travel movies but this was almost an awesometacular for me. I loved both movies so much I also love the main actress how she acted out her character that evolved so much throughout the movies. I enjoyed the stupid corny humor it had as well. Would watch both movies again. Mixing the slasher element with time travel was a very unique twist that sets it apart albeit it not being as prevalent in the second movie.

Garfield Gamer Oh I totally agree, despite its faults, this movie was very refreshing and the concept feels fresh even though I swear I’ve seen a few TV shows do something similar before. Funny thing is I went into this movie, the first one, thinking I was going to hate it, but was pleasantly surprised which I hadn’t felt over a movie in awhile. Honestly I think the last time I felt that way about movie was Cabin in The Woods or maybe Dead Silence you should check em out if you’ve never seen them anyways man you have a great day

@Hop Off I like your feedback. Good stuff, and yet, for as much as we both know that this is not a film to take seriously, it got people talking. Me, honestly, I'm hoping for a 3rd one. 🤷🏽‍♂️

Garfield Gamer Yea you got a point man idk it’s just the reason she chose to go back seemed less about what you said and more mainly because of her boyfriend. Which, as Jeremy pointed out, seemed a bit ridiculous considering they were only dating for two weeks, kinda silly. If what you said were the main reason then I can see it because the thing that makes our loved ones special to us especially when compared to what is essentially a doppelgänger is the experiences and characteristics that make them their own unique person. But that didn’t seem like it was the deciding factor from my interpretation

@Hop Off Plots or scenes like the one we are discussing is what makes for great talk, from how I see it, think of seeing or being with someone with dementia, having to constantly be told or having to relay a memory that was enjoyed. If you have to go over it, time after time, it eventually waters it down. Caring for loved ones and losing them is an infinite hurt that eventually gets less painful but living with a stranger (sorta) isn't worth living the alternative universe. Also, everyone else has changed.

I really enjoy these time-loop movies, it's a really fun concept to me! They also remind me of videogames, like resetting a level over and over again

I loved the first movie, but this movie felt really convoluted and messy. It was somewhat entertaining overall, but the "reason" for the "choice" she makes at the end, felt lame and unrealistic. I appreciate that they tried to keep this sequel tied close to the original tho, but I would never want to watch this again

I agree the actress is great, but in this one, a lot of things were just over the top, her acting especially. Very disappointing tbh, and I had very low expectations. At some point the whole film just went sideways for me and I don't even remember what it was I just remember thinking "this is a shit sequel".

I liked the movie. It made me laugh out loud a few times and Jessica Rothe was great. Sure there were a couple of spots where the story dragged a bit but overall not too bad at all. Jessica Rothe makes it worth watching.

I really like this , because it skipped genre to sci-fi. The killer I don't think was important, the sci-fi was more interesting. Omg please tell me you seen the after credit scene. Because the end scene was so abrupt, i skipped in to the credit to find a mid credit scene. I do buy her falling in "love" like when you think about it she relieved this day over and over and the one constant is him. So I'd see why she would.

I liked it until the end. Picking some dude she "dated" for a couple of weeks over her own mom was pretty stupid. Almost triggered me because I would go to Hell and earth for my mom. The end killed it for me.

Well, there was also the fact that she didn't feel like she belonged in that universe than just the boyfriend. She was going to choose her mom over the boyfriend until his speech about our experiences being what defined us and being able to move on. Then the fact that her mom kept referencing moments and memories that she didn't have, which made her feel alienated in this universe.

Cause that part damn.. it hit me hard. And if the movie just dive deep into that part & make us invest more into their relationship.. man, what a movie it would be. Am not expecting it to go that route. But it was beautiful

It wasnt just another killer flick, it mashed so many genres together and did it quite fluidly. The dean was so over the top, I so want to see him in more things. I laughed, I almost cried, and jumped a few times more than I thought. And then that end credits scene. Oh, so ridiculous, I almost busted a gut when I saw occasional lens flares. I enjoyed this movie, it was a fun time! I was disappointed, though, that she only entered one different alternate dimension and the killer reveal was a little flimsy this time around (the first movie surprised me. This one... not so much).

I found the "Tree finding out Danielle is cheating on Carter" scene to be completely useless and seemed out of place. It basically gave her a reason to stay in that universe and made leaving "to take a chance of love" a little less meaningful, since she probably could have gotten with Carter in that new universe after he found that out.

Sorry for the long "rant". I have no one where to talk about these things anymore ever since IMDb deleted their message boards 😅

I think it was thrown in there to show that Danielle was still the same in the alternate universe, which since they were setting up the third movie to center around Danielle going on the same arc as Tree, it would kinda make sense that they didn't wanna leave off on a note where Danielle was actually decent. Also, I think Tree deciding to go back had more to do with wanting to continue growing and overcoming her grief than just staying with Carter, since it was Carter's speech about her experiences being what defined her that made her question her decision to stay in the first place.

                                                                  • Tammy Silverwolf

I'm not sure how this movie stands on its own. If you liked the first movie, you will probably like this one a lot if you haven't seen it. I liked the chemistry of the cast and Rachel Matthews (Danielle) came really close to scene stealing. With such a strong performance by Jessica Rothe, that is no small feat in this flick. If this movie makes any money at all, they should green light the third. The premise could even spawn a t.v. show. I'd watch that weekly if they did it right.
Now all I need is a 2nd installment of The Babysitter (2017) and all will be right. A Tree vs. Bee crossover fight would be too much ro ask for...but I'd love it!

Would you make a video with your options about Captain Marvel and how it went down to 26 percent on rotten tomatoes and why the website completely changed and removed the scores? Is that not very weird for a site to do that was made for reviews and polls??
