Dallas is not Americas Team, if anything the Green Bay Packers should be called Americas Team. Green Bay or New England but definitely not the cowboys, the
70´s been over for a long time now and cowboys fans need to get over it n let it go, its an embarrassment having that team nicknamed Americas Team,

      NFL

Jacksonville: went to the AFC Championship game in their 2nd year, were a playoff team in 4 of their first 5 seasons. 3 playoff appearances in the 21st century, all of them resulted in being bounced out by the Patriots

Washington: 3 Super Bowls with 3 different starting QBs in a 10 year period under Joe Gibbs. Since: haven’t gone to an NFC Championship

Green Bay: Team of the 60s, 5 out of 7 titles including a 3-peat which also had the first two Super Bowls. Weren’t relevant until Favre arrived in 1992

Cardinals: 2 collapses with this team, one after a period of relevance in the 1970s and another in the 2010s

Detroit: One of the best teams of the 1950s, only won 1 playoff game since

      NBA

Dallas: on the rise in the 1980s but irrelevant in the Metroplex sports pecking order by the 1990s

      MLB

New York Yankees: 1980s were miserable to be a fan
Tigers: Made the World Series in 2006 & 2012, but Mr I spent lots of money chasing that elusive title
Giants: Hard to believe they won 3 titles in 5 years during the 2010s

      NHL
New York Islanders: claimed the Cup 4 times in the early 1980s, nearly bought by a con artist in the 1990s
Canada’s Cup Drought: last Canadian based team to win the Cup was the Canadiens
Florida Panthers: made the Finals In 1996 and were swept by the Avs, haven’t been back since
Collapse of Stanley Cup opponents during the Red Wings Empire
      Buffalo Sabers post-Hasek

      College
      Tennessee football after the 1990s
      Arizona basketball
      Notre Dame after Lou Holtz
      Nebraska football
      Colorado football

I'm a Cowboys fan and I blame it all on Jerry his damn Ego makes him a fool. smart business man but very ignorant at not just letting people do their job. we would be in Super Bowl heaven many years to after had it not been for Jerry Jones. because as much as you can give him credit for us winning. you can also give him credit for us not winning anymore because his head got too big. Ego got to big. Thats a team killer.
